Good vibes are everywhere in downtown Las Vegas. This weekend, Life is Beautiful Festival celebrates it’s third year of music, art and learning. I love coming to DTLV for this festival every year since it’s inception and with the 2015 lineup, I had to go all 3 days!  LIB festival was founded by Rehan Choudhry in 2013 and is dedicated to providing a creative environment of inspirational music, food, art and learning festival held in the heart of Downtown Las Vegas. This year I’m excited to see Duran Duran, Metric, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Rebelution, Major Lazer, Kendrick Lamar, Future Islands, Knife Party, Madeon, Snoop Dogg and more.

In addition to a killer musical lineup, Life is Beautiful brings awesome vibes with lots of learning, good food in The Culinary Village, gorgeous street art and my favorite aspect, giving! Some of my HGC-recommended brands and things to do include:

HGC Approved Brands to shop:

To Write Love on Her Arms- One of my favorite and longest organizations to support- To Write Love on Her Arms is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inspire, inform and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery.

Jaeci x Mehndika Joey Henna- Love these super cute #positivevibes only inspired jewels! From bangles to dainty bracelets, necklaces and stack rings, there is an inspirational themed piece for everyone! The name comes from designer, Jenna Consiglio, the initials in her first and last name, spelled out with an Italian twist with the acronym “Journey. Aim. Experience. Create. Inspire.” Stop by and spend $30 or more and get FREE and gorgeous henna done by Las Vegas-based, Joey of Mehndika Joey Henna.

At Love Hope Strength- At Love Hope Strength- this non-profit turns concerts and festivals into lifesaving events. Through our “GET ON THE LIST” campaign we register fans to the national marrow registry, FREE of charge. LHS has registered over 100,000 people at concerts and festivals around the United States. Over 1,900 potentially life-saving matches for patients in need of marrow donors have been made. All it takes is a simple cheek swab and a completion of a consent form for someone to become a registered marrow donor.

The Giving Keys- Love one of my favorite and longest “for good” fashion brands, The Giving Keys, who are based in my current hometown of Los Angeles. These key accessories are pay it forward tokens of kindness, help homeless individuals transition out of homelessness – as well as serve as kick ass signature statement necklaces or bracelets.

Best Buddies- Met the “Jasons” last night and happy to share their cause for the Best Buddies Nevada chapter at the festival. The mission of Best Buddies is to establish a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a result of participation in BB programs, people with IDD gain social and leadership skills that lead to their increased sense of self-worth and independence. After going through the program, both individuals with and without IDD are able to change perceptions about the inclusivity and acceptance of individuals with IDD in their communities.

To Do:

Toyota Music Den- Stop by the Weeping Willow to post “what music means to you”, #toyotagiving and Toyota will donate $1 to VHS Save the Music Foundation. Visit my friend Stephanie at the Toyota Music Den today and post your own “what music means to you” photo and contribute to the VHS Save the Music Foundation!

Also, after checking out the music, stocking up on HGC-approved goodies, don’t forget to take pics of all the cool street art located all around the festival grounds. The Art Motel is worth checking out because it features artists from all over the world that come to Vegas to bring new life to Downtown with specifically designed murals throughout festival grounds. The Learning Series presents talks from speakers including social innovators, business leaders, activists, technologists and artists sharing their inspirational journey to living a beautiful life.

Yay- stay tuned for more pics to come soon!
